At our get-together we decided to play a little game.
How typical, it was the horror type.
The guy who started it told us that the one who lost would quickly gain
A ghost call ringing us every night.
Apparently it was a rumour going around.
Our curiosity got the better of us now.
We all agreed to play and see.
Guess what? I lost miserably.
That night I got a call after returning home.
(Ring–)
Who’s the one that’s calling me
After I have gone to sleep?
Who’s the one waking me up
Calling at 12 A.M. sharp?
Who’s the one making this call
Without responding at all?
Do they think I can be tricked?
I’ll give them a painful kick!
Remembering all that upon waking up irritates me much
It’s five o’clock. Time to get up for work.
Once at the office I complain about the night with the whole bunch.
I call the guy I suspected a jerk.
“It’s you, isn’t it?” I tell the guy from yesterday.
He shakes his head and the others deny what I say.
I give up and forget it all.
That night I got a second call.
I try my best to ignore it but it won’t stop!
(Ring–)
Who’s the one calling once more?
This is becoming a chore.
Who’s disrupting now my rest?
I am getting really stressed!
This time I shout in the phone,
“Damn you! I want to sleep, you know?!”
I hope I’ll be left alone.
The next morning I confront my friends on what they are aiming for.
I tell them they can stop their silly joke.
I’m losing sleep over this prank that came from that silly rumour
What are they just trying to evoke?
Is there something about me with which they’re discontent?
They all reply that they are honestly innocent.
So that no one can still call me,
I take out my phone’s battery.
Who would have thought my phone would go on to sound!
(Ring–)
How can my phone simply ring
When no battery’s in that thing?!
What’s up with this ghostly call?
Should I throw it at the wall?
All my contacts are in there.
I don’t have a second spare.
It’s something I can’t allow,
I’ll just get it over now.
What a frightful experience that I hope was all a dream.
The story that we were told is not all what it seems.
(Hello? Hello?)
Who’s the one calling my phone
When I’m here at home alone?
Who’s the one there on the line?
There is still no sound this time?!
Who’s the one calling my phone
When I’m home and all alone?
Who keeps calling me again?
It’s not a prank from my friends!
At work I don’t reveal what happened to me but get pulled away
It’s who told us the story and he says,
“The rumour has a second part. The last call is on the fourth day
The next day the victim’s discovered–”
("Hey!")
“The boss is calling me. Tell me later.”
But I never heard the rest thereafter.
And then that night my last call came.
I went to bed slightly afraid.
I woke up at night before it struck twelve o’clock.
Who’s the one calling each time
When the clock strikes midnight?
(Gong, ring–, gong, ring–, gong, ring–)
(Gong, sound of call button pressed.)
(Hello?)
(Gong.)
(Static.)
(Gong.)
(Hello? Hello~?)
(Gong.)
(Static.)
(Gong.)
(Who are you? Why do you keep calling me?!)
(Gong.)
(Static.)
(Gong.)
(Hey, listen up! Do it again and I’ll call the–)
(Gong.)
(Static: Time’s up.)
(Gong/Scream–)
A certain guy said later on, “I can’t believe that it was true,
I’m sorry for not getting to tell you
The victim is discovered dead the next day–Even though I knew.”
While laying flowers on a grave that’s new.
[Update2: I've finally finished the bgmusic! Now all I have to do is sing it, but it's kinda hard because I have to speak/sing clear and fast. I keep failing, so here's the bgmusic for now, including sound effects and the text part at the gong: Midnightbox I've been told that the song is too upbeat in comparison to the text and that I should leave it as a poem instead but I was already 2/3 finished. How could I just scrap it all? So I've thought of making another version that will be creepy enough but I can't think of anything yet.]

It's just the music with effects and no talking or singing (just imagine it). It will take a while to make the music since I'm doing it with a new software, so I haven't familiarized myself with it yet. Well what do you think of it?]
This is a song I started some time ago and just recently finished writing. I've started on the music, but it's rather hard to make because it doesn't exactly match what I'm imagining it to be. I've got to try out various things. It's supposed to be the creepy kind of song but well, we'll see what comes out in the end. The stuff in the brackets are what I'm imagining to be the background sound effects in the song.
