Literature Text
(A/N: Read this slowly and with emotion and there are some links for the music in the description.)
When my heart
resounded within my soul
I saw the rift collapse
forming into a road
When my heart
lifted into the sky
I knew it would
be alright
Calling out the sadness that stayed within the mind
Leaving behind emptiness filling you inside
Of love that bound our ties and
Of gentle warmth that we had
My memories of you won’t fade for me
But life still goes on though I still believe
I pray until the day
I will face you again
To where you have gone
I’ll try to stay strong
When my heart
resounded within my soul
I saw the rift collapse
forming into a road
When my heart
lifted into the sky
I knew it would
be alright
Seeking comfort to relieve the ceaseless pain
The sun shines but in your inner world it rains
As if it was an ordeal
As if it was not real
Every time I recall a scene of you
I silently shake with grief anew
Though I am still mourning
I have to keep going
I know you’re with me
You will always be
When my heart
resounded within my soul
I saw the rift collapse
forming into a road
When my heart
lifted into the sky
I knew it would
be alright
[Edit2: I've changed the links as I found some chords that I wanted to change.]
[Update: Here is the link for the piano accompaniment. I've got a mp3 file to listen to and a midi file for anyone who is curious about the notes I've used: Mp3Midi]
[Edit: I will upload some piano music for this soon that I made with a midi sequencer to show the basic background melody. And maybe - just maybe - I will also sing the song, so that you can hear how it sounds. (Though my voice isn't the best...)]
This song is supposed to express the pain over a lost one and yet having to go on and overcome the pain but... I'm not quite sure how to explain this as I wrote this with the flow of my feelings instead of thinking too much about it. As for the author's note at the beginning, that's because this is a slow song that should be sung with lots of emotion. The text may seem short, but the slow singing makes it long (it took over three minutes to sing this). I wasn't too sure of what title to take but something like "Crossroad of partings" or "Overcoming grief" might be too long, so I settled for "Crossroad".
